Match101

Match Day · Friday, March 19, 2027

The Match runs on a calendar. So should you.

Match101 turns the residency application cycle into a dated plan — what to do this week, what comes next, and what can safely wait. Built with the IMG pathway in mind from the start.

Typical NRMP cycle dates for the 2027 Match. Your plan adjusts to the year and pathway you choose.

What you get

Six things, each doing one job well.

A dated Match plan

Milestones and priority tasks tied to your Match year, so you always know whether you're on track or behind.

Program research

Search by specialty, city, and fit. Filter to IMG-friendly programs and visa-sponsoring institutions, and save the ones worth a closer look.

Application tracker

Every program you're applying to, moving through Planning, Applied, Interview, and Ranked — with interview dates and your draft rank order in one place.

Interview practice

Answer real behavioural questions and get structured feedback on specificity, STAR structure, reflection, and readiness — plus a follow-up question to push on.

A private document centre

CV, personal statement, transcript, MSPE, letters. Upload once, see what's still missing, and keep everything ready before deadlines land.

Mentorship

Book a session with a resident who recently went through the Match, and keep the conversation attached to your plan.

For international graduates

The IMG path has extra steps. The plan should say so.

Most Match advice quietly assumes a US medical school. Match101 doesn’t. Choose the IMG pathway during setup and your timeline, program filters, and interview prompts account for it.

  • Visa sponsorship, up frontPrograms are labelled by whether they sponsor, so you aren’t researching somewhere you can’t go.
  • IMG-friendly filteringNarrow the list to programs that regularly take international graduates.
  • Certification alongside applicationsECFMG steps sit in the same timeline as ERAS, instead of living in a separate spreadsheet.
  • Practice for the questions you’ll actually getYour pathway and target specialty are passed to the interview coach.

How it works

Three steps, then you’re working the plan.

  1. 01

Tell us your pathway and year

IMG, USMD, or DO; your target specialty and Match year. Three questions, about a minute.

  2. 02

    Get your dated plan

Milestones, priority tasks, and deadlines laid against your cycle — with a readiness figure that reflects what you've actually finished.

  3. 03

    Work it, week by week

Track programs, practise interviews, and keep documents audit-ready. Everything saves to your account as you go.

Questions

Before you sign up.

Who is Match101 for?

Anyone applying to US residency through the NRMP Match — international medical graduates, US MD students, and osteopathic students. The plan adapts to which of those you are.

Does it cost anything?

Creating an account and building your plan is free.

Who can see my documents and notes?

Only you. Every record is scoped to your account and enforced in the database itself, not just in the interface. Administrators see aggregate counts — never names, documents, or interview answers.

Is this affiliated with the NRMP or ERAS?

No. Match101 is an independent planning tool. You still apply through ERAS and rank through the NRMP; we help you keep track of it.

Can I use it mid-cycle?

Yes. The plan starts from today's date, so it shows what still matters rather than what you've already passed.

Start with the next 30 days.

You don’t need the whole cycle figured out today — just the part in front of you.
